Cinzia Forte returns to Castiglioncello after appearing in 2015 with Maurizio Baglini in a program dedicated to the Seasons (revived at the Teatro Comunale in Treviso) in 2016 with a successful Shostakovich program and in 2017 performing in an exclusive lyric concert. Praised by international critics for the uncommon elegance of her phrasing and remarkable stage presence, Mrs. Forte is present on the billboards of the main Italian and European theatres such as the Teatro alla Scala, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Teatro Regio in Turin, Opera in Rome, Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Zurich Opera House, Théâtre des Champs-Elysees in Paris, Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Teatro Real in Madrid, Opéra de Monte Carlo. She collaborated with such prestigious conductors as Claudio Abbado, Bruno Campanella, Riccardo Chailly, Myung-Whun Chung, Jesus Lopez-Cobos, Daniele Gatti, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Jeffrey Tate and René Jacobs, and internationally renowned directors such as Roberto De Simone, Willy Decker, Dario Fo, Michael Hampe, Mario Martone, Jonathan Miller, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Luca Ronconi, Emilio Sagi, Jérôme Savary, Graham Vick, Franco Zeffirelli. Her recent engagements included: Rossini’s Bianca e Falliero at the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad, Madama Butterfly in Sassari, La Traviata and Le Nozze di Figaro (Contessa) in Naples, Falstaff (Alice) Le Nozze di Figaro (Contessa) in Cagliari, Otello in Liège, La Gazzetta in Tel Aviv, Leo’s L’Olimpiade in Naples, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in Milan.
Maurizio Baglini (piano)
The pianist Maurizio Baglini is one of the most brilliant musicians on the international scene. Winner of the “World Music Piano Master” of Montecarlo at the age of 24, he has on his credits an intense solo career on prestigious stages, such as the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Salle Gaveau in Paris and the Kennedy Center in Washington. His rich recording production, exclusively with Decca/Universal, includes several piano masterpieces by Liszt, Brahms, Schubert, Schumann, Domenico Scarlatti and Mussorgsky. In 2016 he has started the recording of the complete piano works by Schumann. He regularly plays with the cellist Silvia Chiesa: the duo records for Decca, which released in 2016 their new cd with the complete works for cello and piano by Rachmaninov. Founder and artistic director of the Amiata Piano Festival, he is artistic consultant for music and dance of Teatro Comunale “Giuseppe Verdi” of Pordenone and cultural Ambassador of Friuli Venezia Giulia region. He holds masterclasses in Fondi (LT) and for the Accademia Stauffer in Cremona. He plays a Fazioli grand piano.
