Ensemble Seta

Fany Maselli and Armel Descotte return to Castiglioncello to present the ensemble in its full form, with pianist Kyoko Nojima, performing an enchanting and exciting concert program.

Armel Descotte (oboe)
Armel Descotte was appointed Principal Oboe of the Milan Scala Orchestra in January 2017, under the direction of Riccardo Chailly, and also became a member of the Filarmonica della Scala. He obtained the 1st prize with honours from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) in Jacques Tys’ class. He is also regularly invited to play with the most important international orchestras. In February 2017, he was appointed professor at the IESM in Aix-en-Provence and also teaches at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala. Armel Descotte plays a Marigaux M2 oboe.

Fany Maselli (bassoon)
After graduating from the Verdi Conservatory in Turin, Maselli continued her studies in Vienna with Milan Turkovic. She then studied with Gilbert Audin at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) and with Klaus Thunemann at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule in Berlin. In September 2001, she entered the Karajan Akademie des Berliner Philharmoniker. Fany Maselli has been principal bassoon of the Orchestre de chambre de Paris since 2005 and collaborates with numerous orchestras. She teaches as an assistant professor of bassoon at the CNSMDP.

Kyoko Nojima (piano)
Kyoko Nojima studied piano at Ferris University in Yokohama (Japan) and then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. She has regularly collaborated with prestigious orchestras under the baton of Pierre Boulez, Claudio Abbado, and Daniel Harding. She also works as a répétiteur and accompanist for major opera houses. She has performed as a soloist at Teatro Real in Madrid, Triphony Hall, Suntory Hall and Musashino Concert Hall in Tokyo. Her concert in duo with baritone Vincent Le Texier was broadcasted on the Japanese National Television channel NHK. Since 2000, Kyoko Nojima has been an accompanist in several classes at the CNSMDP and CNSMD de Lyon. She currently lives in Berlin.
