Matthew Polenzani, Sylvia Volpe and Cesare Pezzi
Matthew Polenzani is one of the most gifted and distinguished lyric tenors of his generation. His elegant musicianship, innate sense of style and dramatic commitment find him at virtually every leading operatic, concert and recital venue in the world.
Sylvia Volpe made her New York solo debut at Alice Tully Hall in 1996, where she was praised by the New York Times for her “beautiful tone – both lyricism and virtuosity.” Since 2000, Sylvia has performed as Associate Principal Second Violin with the MET Chamber Ensemble concert series at Carnegie Hall.
The Italian pianist Cesare Pezzi performs regularly in Europe (Italy, Austria, Belgium, France, Holland, Lithuania, Estonia, Monaco, Sweden, Switzerland) and in the United States as both a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. This contributed to his winning the prestigious Chiarappa Chamber Music Prize in Florence in 2013 and to playing with many eminent musicians, such as Francesco Manara, Paolo Andreoli, the Quartetto di Cremona, the Čiurlionis Quartet, Nikolay Sugahev and others. His New York débuts in 2015 at the Lincoln Center and in Vilnius Philharmonic Hall in May 2016 received both great critical acclaim.
