VENICE MUSIC PROJECT  – In Cythara et Voce
Venice Music Project’s favorite baritone, Marco Saccardin, who performed the role of the Lion in Pyramus and Thisbe at Monteverdi in 2022, performs a solo program of Claudio Monteverdi and other composers, accompanying himself on the lute.

Soprano Liesl Odenweller, appreciated in Europe as a versatile American artist, consistently delights audiences and critics in her unique and exciting interpretations of a wide variety of repertoire. The recipient of numerous awards and grants, Liesl has sung operatic roles and concerts in some of the world’s most prestigious theaters, including Carnegie Hall, Teatro La Fenice, Teatro San Carlo, Auditorium di Milano and the Teatro Piccolo di Milano, collaborating with conductors like Sir Jeffrey Tate, Andrea Marcon, Riccardo Chailly, and Raymond Hughe.

Born in Rovigo 1990, Marco Saccardin studied Classical Guitar with prof. Monica Paolini at the “F. Venezze” Conservatory, graduating summa cum laude in 2013 and in Lute under prof. Massimo Lonardi at the “Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali ‘F.Vittadini’ ” of Pavia in 2016. Parallel to his studies as a lutenist and subsequent to his joining in 2009 local choir “Polifonico ‘Città di Rovigo’ ”, conducted by organist and harpsichordist Vittorio Zanon and baritone Marco Scavazza, he has also undertaken Renaissance and Baroque singing afterwards.
