Program Overview

Steve Tyrell at Monteverdi Tuscany

October 22-26 or October 28-November 1, 2020

An Exclusive Concert Experience

Monteverdi Tuscany is pleased to welcome Steve Tyrell as our Artist in Residence. We will be hosting two very special series from October 22 to October 26, 2020, as well as October 28 to November 1, 2020. Grammy Award-winning producer and singer, Steve Tyrell, will once again perform and share his passion and knowledge of the Great American Songbook with a select group of guests in our performing arts center, a 14th-century Romanesque church. Join us for a unique opportunity to spend four days with Steve Tyrell, enjoy intimate dining experiences, cocktail receptions in the new Monteverdi Lounge, and two private concerts featuring this world-class artist. All of these events take place in the incomparably beautiful setting of Monteverdi Tuscany.

Bespoke Luxury, Medieval Hilltop Village

Monteverdi Tuscany is a luxury boutique hotel centrally located between Rome and Florence, offering stunning panoramic views of the Val d’Orcia region of Tuscany, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned worldwide for its scenic splendor.

The hotel is not confined within a single building but instead is dispersed throughout an idyllic, medieval village. With its transformative restoration complete, the hotel now comprises eighteen individual suites and three elegantly appointed villas.

Monteverdi Tuscany also boasts an award-winning farm-to-table restaurant, a Culinary Academy, a new piano lounge and terrace bar, an enoteca and Library Bar, outdoor swimming pool and indoor heated spa pool, holistic spa, yoga studio, a modern gym, an art gallery, and a beautifully restored 700-year-old church that serves as Monteverdi’s performing arts venue.

Indulge and Explore

Each day of this Artist in Residence program begins with a complimentary breakfast in our fine dining restaurant, Oreade, featuring a wide array of freshly baked bread and pastries, fruits, cereals, sumptuously prepared egg dishes, and of course, cappuccino.

Guests can spend their days in a myriad of ways, from wine tasting excursions and truffle hunting to touring and shopping in nearby Tuscan towns. Our concierge is pleased to organize any day trips and can accommodate personal requests, including private transportation in luxury vehicles.

For those who wish to discover Castiglioncello, we offer hiking and biking on surrounding trails through a magnificent EU protected forest of over 800 acres, and many secluded areas in our gardens or near the pool to relax, read, or write.

A Feast for the Senses

Our Executive Chef Giancarla Bodoni will be teaching cooking classes in our new Culinary Academy, located in the same stone building that once housed the school for the children of Castiglioncello del Trinoro. Classes are followed by an alfresco lunch in the garden where students enjoy the fruits of their labor, and, of course, sumptuous Tuscan wines.

Those who wish can experience true tranquility at the newly expanded Spa at Monteverdi. In addition to featuring luxurious skin and body treatments, we now have a Hammam steam room and a Roman-inspired warm indoor pool with picturesque views of the rolling Tuscan hills.

Intimate Performances

Steve and his band will perform two distinct shows during each session, featuring music from the Great American Songbook and his top-selling recordings that span the decades. Following his concerts, Steve, the band, and all guests will enjoy multi-course meals featuring seasonal Tuscan favorites and handpicked boutique wines from the region.
