About the artists:
Stefano Barneschi
His acknowledged authority as a violin soloist has led him to lead numerous ensembles performing on ancient instruments, including I Barocchisti, Il Pomo d’Oro, la Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Anima Eterna Brugge, as well as important orchestras such as the Mahler Chamber Orchestra conducted by Daniel Harding, the Filharmonie Antwerp conducted by Philippe Herreweghe, the orchestra of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa conducted by Diego Fasolis and recently the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala conducted by Giovanni Antonini. He is also regularly invited as Konzertmeister by the Kammerorchester Basel.
Fabio Ravasi
He graduated from the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan under the guidance of Ivan Krivensky. From 1995 to 2004, he was second violinist and then first violinist in the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Verdi in Milan. Verdi di Milano, thus having the opportunity to work with conductors such as Giulini, Pretre, Chailly, Muti, Gergiev, Rostropovich, Barshai, Gatti, Noseda, Hogwood, Yurovsky and many others.
Ernest Braucher
He participated in the recording of the complete works of Niccolò Paganini’s guitar quartets with the Paganini Quartet. He collaborates with important ensembles dedicated to the performance of the great baroque and classical repertoire on period instruments, such as Il Giardino Armonico, Europa Galante, Accademia Bizantina, touring the most important theaters in the world (Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Madrid, Moscow, New York, Paris, Prague, Sidney, Tokyo, Vienna, etc.) and recording for major record companies.
Marco Testori
He collaborates with the ensembles I Barocchisti, Ensemble Musica Alchemica, La Divina Armonia, Atalanta Fugiens, Il Suonar Parlante, Ensemble 1700, with which he has recorded for the record labels Decca, Divox, Opus 111, Naxos, Passacaille, Hyperion, Arts, Dynamic, Naïve, Amadeus and Sony. From 1994 to 2004 he was first cello in the ensemble Il Giardino Armonico, with which he participated in major international festivals and recorded exclusively for Teldec.
