About the artist:

Miriam Prandi is recognized as one of the fastest rising stars of her generation, winning praise for her passionate performances and deep rich tone.  More recent highlights include debuts at the Teatro alla Scala with Accademia Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Fedoseyev for the MITO Festival, as well as the successful tour with the Orchestra Haydn under the baton of Michele Mariotti. Ms. Prandi is the winner of the 2014 Rahn Musikpreis, personally awarded by Chairman Sol Gabetta. She has also won First Prize of the Geminiani Competition in Verona, the Muzio Clementi Prize in Rome, and is the recipient of scholarships from the Lyra Stiftung, the Ambrosoli Foundation, the Rudolf von Tobel Studienstiftung, and the Rahn Kulturfonds.
