Concert series: Roberta Di Mario

Roberta Di Mario is an Italian classical-contemporary pianist, composer and artistic director, who composes for solo piano, chamber music, theatre, visual art, television, and cinema. She graduated with honors from the Arrigo Boito Conservatory in Parma; advanced courses with Maestro Alexis Weissenberg; and has achieved prestigious wins in numerous international competitions and performed at festivals worldwide. Her personal voice — new classical — moves fluidly between tradition and the contemporary with strongly cinematic resonances.

Ala | Elegy in Three Acts presents a three-part concert combining music and dramaturgy, where references to Bach and Chopin meet the composer's own original works, culminating in a profound and intimate homage to the piano itself. This free journey focuses on the metaphor of the grand piano as a wing capable of making the soul take flight, exploring rarefied and deep soundscapes, and overcoming boundaries. At the heart of the project also lies a deep, but light reflection on the feminine, on inclusiveness and on the value of art as a form of cultural resistance and a necessary vehicle for peace. After debuting at the Bari Piano Festival and the stages between Europe and South America, in 2026 Ala will also touch the United States, Asia and Saudi Arabia.
