Inspiration and illumination
Music & Art at Monteverdi
Experience the living bellezza through the artists, scholars, and musicians in residence at Monteverdi. Wander exhibitions from leading international artists in the art gallery, unwind with a sunset aperitivo con musica concert in our lounge, and enjoy intimate performances from masterful musicians in our restored 14th century church, Chiesa di Sant’Andrea.
All in harmony
Concert Series
Inspired by our namesake, the Renaissance humanist and composer Claudio Monteverdi, the Concert Series has been part of our love affair with this landscape since the beginning. Concerts are held in onsite in the Chiesa di Sant’Andrea, our 14th century Romanesque church, restored with new acoustics designed to bring out every note and nuance and sweetened by the notes of a Fazioli grand piano.
The 2026 Concert Series once again fills our corner of Tuscany with music, featuring a rich repertoire ranging from Baroque to jazz, from opera to contemporary. Music as it was meant to be heard.
Beauty, redefined
The Art Gallery
The art gallery displays an always-evolving collection of contemporary art by international artists, curated to inspire, enlighten, and delight. We invite you to wander the gallery and participate in the living history of art in the Val d'Orcia, stretching from the Etruscans to Renaissance masters to the present day.

Artists in Residence
At Monteverdi, we believe in the transformational power of beauty. This is why, through our Artists and Scholars in Residence program, we invite to Monteverdi an eclectic group of leading contemporary painters, sculptors, scholars, singers and musicians, to drink in the beauty of this landscape and be inspired in their work. We hope that in witnessing the work of our resident artists, who have included the likes of Sir John Eliot Gardiner and Wes Anderson, our guests will be invigorated and moved by the beauty of the human spirit.
