Truffle Foraging Experience
Get to know the Tuscan landscape and one of its most cherished delicacies during an excursion in the heart of the Crete Senesi. Meet a truffle forager and his trained dogs as they accompany you through EU-protected forest looking for truffles.
After an outing foraging for truffles in a natural reserve, visit a farmhouse owned by an expert truffle foraging family. They will be delighted to accompany you through their property. You will learn all about truffle foraging and enjoy a sumptuous lunch made of truffle dishes accompanied by wines of their own production.
Truffle Schedule
- January 1st – April 30th: Marzuolo truffle
- September 20th – December 31st: white truffle from Crete Senesi
- June 1st – September 9th: Scorzone truffle
- September 20th – December 31st: white truffle from Crete Senesi
Truffle tour availability varies depending upon seasonal weather conditions. Please wear comfortable shoes for hiking.

Add On Experience
Take part in a private cooking class based around truffles at the Monteverdi Culinary Academy. Truffles are not included and you have the possibility to buy them directly from the truffle hunter.
