From the land to the gods: A walk through the village

Castiglioncello del Trinoro is a village steeped in history. Inhabited for thousands of years, this place continues to thrive and amaze with its beauty. During this rich and immersive experience, guests are invited to explore the many lives and historical eras that have shaped this village.

The tour begins with the rural world — the heart of life in Tuscany — and continues through the most evocative corners of the village. We will return to the history of the distant past: the humanism and creativity that formed the Val d'Orcia, the upheavals of the Middle Ages connected to our castle ruins onsite, and conclude at Zita with a special dinner in honor of the ancient Etruscan inhabitants. 

At dinner, you will taste ancient Tuscan recipes, reproduced after careful historical and gastronomic research related to each period.
